“CTDI”, Centro de Tecnología, Diseño e Innovación

The CTDI is a non profit (a spinoff from the Venezuelan Chamber of Industry CONINDUSTRIA) aimed at promoting technology, innovation and design as key elements of business competitiveness.
As its founding CEO, I successfully led the development of the master strategic plan based on a "Open Innovation" model, counting with the effective support of the Andalusian Institute of Technology (IAT) of Seville, Spain (See: www.iat.es/?lang=en) obtaining the required sponsorship from the EU ALINVEST III Consortium. The plan comprised of:

- Definition of the centre’s management model
- Strategic planning
- Feasibility study
- Definition of the centre’s management model

As an intermediary (HUB), the CTDI provides consultancy, management and diagnostic tools to identify needs regarding design, innovation and technology; these are matched to the ideal consultants and/or centers of expertise (Universities and Intermediate) to implement the necessary improvement plans and related value services.
I successfully managed the marketing, sales and implementation of over 100 design and innovation consultancy projects at 96 companies, comprised of over 20,000 hours of structured consultancy and implementation management services, as well as 7 "in house" projects as follow:
-Methodology for the diagnostic on the state of Innovation, technology and design management and its use by businesess.
-Preliminary studies for the development of a "Technology, Design and Innovation Showcase Centre”.
-Methodology for replacement of imported parts for locally produced ones in national manufacturing industry.
-Plastics Sector Manufacturing & Business’ Technology Update
-Strengthening the competitiveness of the graphic arts’ sector by HHRR competencies.
-Information management systems in geographically dispersed value chains.
-Methodology for improving the management of highly qualified human resources in Technology-Based Businesses.
