            In regards to new research skills, I don’t think I learned anything new. Ever since my first research paper in the fifth grade (and in brief ways even before then) the method of research has not changed. The only skill you need is to be able to search specifically for your topic using whatever restrictions you may find useful while making sure to get unbiased, trustworthy sources and/or a balance of trustworthy biased sources that support both directions. The only skill I can think of that is new to me is that of keeping a research log. This is definitely beneficial when it comes to organizing research and being able to keep straight what research came from what source. What has definitely changed in regards to research are the available resources. Whereas in the fifth grade, I had the library card catalogue and TEL (Tennessee Electronic Library), I now have Clemson’s amazing research database. This will be a huge benefit to me as I will be able to search for just about anything and do most of the research through my computer. Another fantastic blessing is access to refworks since it practically writes my works cited page for me.
