Assassin's Creed: Revelations
SEQUENCE 6 MISSION 6 - The Maiden's Tower
The Maiden's Tower is the last location where the Altair hid one of the four Masyaf keys in Assassin's Creed: Revelations. The level was designed to be a part exploration, part puzzle; and since it is the last location within the Masyaf keys saga, I was tasked to make it significantly more challenging than the rest.

The Maiden's Tower is an actual location in Turkey, Istanbul, forcing us to replicate the lighthouse as closely as possible to the game's time era. Doing so created a few design issues while designing the level, mainly size constraint as the actual Maiden's Tower is a very small lighthouse. In order to preserve the architecture and scale of the lighthouse, I have decided to bring most of the game play underground where I have the freedom to create a simple yet intertwining puzzle exploration level.

And of course if players played this level prior to visiting Istanbul, we hope they will go knocking on the floor of the lighthouse to see if there is really an underground cavern beneath :)
The entrance to the Maiden's Tower during a stormy night.
Nothing escapes Ezio's Eagle Vision as he noticed 'more than just normal drainage system' through the decorated grills at the centre of the lighthouse.
Ezio finds the secret entrance to the underground cavern of Maiden's Tower.
A counterweight system to drain excess water.
Exploring through the slippery and wet structures.
Jumping in the midst of the grand drainage architecture.
Better not fall... it is a long way down and a longer way back up...
Reaching out for the last Maysaf Key!
