Abdul Karim Lazim, a Sudanese refugee living in Chicago, helps his five-year-old daughter Salema get ready for school on a Monday morning.
The Lazims wait for the morning ride to school on Monday.
Kehena Sraibe, a mother of Salema's fellow classmate, helps the Lazims' transition to Chicago through means such as giving them warm clothing.
