NEMETSCHEK GROUP
// BRANDING
The Nemetschek Group, located in Munich, Germany, is the parent company of 14 AEC and media corporations, which include Vectorworks, Inc. (USA), Maxon (Germany), and Graphisoft (Hungary), to name a few. Each of the 14 companies adopted a modifier to be added to their logos in order to reinforce their "family" tie to the Nemetschek Group; because of this, it was important that the parent logo be timeless and simple, yet strong and the modifier be flexible, clear, & unobtrusive.
SUBRANDS
MODIFIER INCORPORATION
Several of the subrands had Nemetschek in their company’s name (i.e. Nemetschek Vectorworks) and a similar design to the parent company logo; however, with the rebrand, each one had the parent company’s authorization to alter their name and logo as long as they incorporated the modifier, A Nemetschek Company, under specific guidelines. Doing this allowed the brands to showcase their individual strengths while remaining recognizable as part of a large, international group. Below are four subrand examples of how the modifier was applied using the guidelines provided.
LOGO CREATION PROCESS
I started this project by researching the company and its subrands, followed by mind mapping, sketching concepts, and drafting up ideas to present. Once a direction is decided upon, mark refinement is done before the final presentation. Below are some visuals to show a little of the creation process.
