Jet Brains is the world’s leading software manufacturer, the company works in five offices in four countries:Russia,CzechRepublic,USAandGermany.

The task was to make creative atmosphere in additional office in Saint-Petersburg, designed for startups and students. To make creative environment, using working space for interior communications with stuff.
For people working with IT there are no borders, they are interested in the whole world, they want to learn it and enjoy it.

We decided to turn the walk through the office corridor between the operating rooms into an amusing trip. We conducted a questionnaire survey among the staff and found out their favorite cities: they turned out to be the most famous world capitals and cultural centers, and of course, among them Saint-Petersburg.

These survey results helped us to understand, how does the company’s staff like to rest, what do they watch and read at leasure, what characters do they like. We used this information to fulfill the cities’ atmosphere with semantic details, which attract attention and capture the viewer’s imagination: quotes, specific situations, humor, approximate for those, who work in this office.

We created three planned drawings: on the background – silhouettes of recognizable buildings and authentic objects for each city; in the middle ground – buildings and objects “in full-length”; in the foreground – the outlines of roofs, for those cities that are associated with height, freedom and romance. In the middle ground and in the foreground we also placed famous characters, signs, graffiti and stories.

As the result, the walk through the corridor almost100 meterslong turned into exciting journey for the office staff and visitors. They can explore the details, look closely to them and find something new every time.
