The Sony Experience and Banbury Walker competition

Brief & Concept
Banbury Walker, experiential 3D designers and vsualisers, http://banburywalker.com/ set Interior Design Students a 48 hour challenge. Our brief was to design and visualise an interactive Pop-Up space for Sony that could be easily transported around the UK; a fun and exciting space to engage its consumers.
I subsequently came third in the competition and was given a mention on the Banbury Walker website.
In response to the ‘Sony Experience’ brief, I began researching Sony, their latest products and Sony’s largest target market - Generation Y.
Where to begin… showcasing which Sony product, either already released or soon to be… is a differcult task. In the words of a heavy game user and a member of the ‘Gen Y’ age bracket: “Sony are making some really sick stuff, how can you choose?!” Quite true...
And so I focused on ‘the experience’ ‘the excitement’ the ‘thrill’. I wanted to make this space as interactive as possible. There were, however some key products that influenced my design such as the PS Vita, ImageStation.com and many more Sony e-commerce developments not forgetting the thousands of Sony games out there.
All in all, I wanted to devise a space were Sony’s Gen Y consumers could spend hours of fun in.
I subsequently came third in the competition and was given a mention on the Banbury Walker website.
