Barrack Street Investments Limited (BST) is an investment company providing investors with access to a diversified Australian investment portfolio comprising small to mid-cap companies that are not included in the S&P/ASX 50 index. The company aims to maintain 90% of available funds in equity investments at all times with the balance in cash and equivalent. As a result, BST is best suited to investors with a medium to long-term time horizon.
BST engages ECP Asset Management Pty Ltd as its funds manager and through a management service agreement provides its expertise in dictating the composition of BST’s portfolio with BST’s Board of Directors monitoring the manager’s performance and investment decisions. Our investment strategy centres on the view that investing in high quality business franchises with the ability to grow sales and earnings at rates above GDP will produce superior investment returns over the long-term. BST’s portfolio of investments comprises small and mid-cap companies whose operations cover a wide spectrum of business activities. The portfolio is constructed from the perspective of a business owner by investing in well managed companies and not simply by tracking the index weighting of various component stocks.
