Chuck a shark, hit an eagle, catch the fish!

It was a lot of fun designing viking boats. They have these faces already on them, so you can do a lot with the boat, making it a character. An important part of designing these boats was coming up with visual cues that reflect what special power the boat has.
For example, fly boat has these little wings and a puffy face, as if he's holding his breath for more buoyancy. Fast boat has a spiky tail and horns pointing backwards to be more aerodynamic, and aquadynamic. And the submarine just simply looks a bit like a fish.

THE BAD GUYS, SEA CRITTERS!

The sea is full of nasty creatures! Like vicious sharks, spiky blowfish and those starfish that are ALWAYS smiling.
Most of the critters in the sea have special abilities. Some are just there to get caught, like the little guppies. But watch out for the ink squirting squids, the vicious boat eating sharks and the eagles lurking in the air, waiting for you to jump up and grab you.
Like the boats these were really fun to design. The challenge was making them look cute while still communicating what kind of threat they imposed. You can see the band aids on the shark, which communicates a weak spot (you can jump on top of the shark). The blowfish are harmless when just swimming, but when they puff up you've got to watch out for their spikes!

Out on the water, it's time to bring the fish home!

Fish will swim in from the sides of the screen. You score by throwing fish into the air and catching them with your boat. Not all fish are that easy however, the sharp teeth of a shark or the sting of a jellyfish will soon sink you!
