#AdobeLive 2016 Contest Winning Entry
In October 2016, the Adobe Creative Cloud team aired a live web series with a handful of designers and illustrators. As part of the three-day live stream, Adobe held a contest, with designers tasked to create work based on the theme "MAX."
For my piece, I create an illustration around the location of the 2016 Adobe Max Conference location, San Diego. I chose images that represented the city, including a vintage cablecar and gas street lamp from the "Gaslamp Quarter," home of the San Diego Convention Center. For the background, I added a semi-transparent "Seal of Melkizidech" pattern which is featured prominently around the city. I also integrated textures inspired by the live-stream artist Maite Franchi, including the halftone pattern on the sun and sky as well as the grunge brush texture on the background.
My design was selected as one of the ten winning entries, with a prize of a 1-year subscription to Adobe CC.
