Rethink, Reflect | The Houston Museum of Theology

The religious population of Houston, Texas has 96% of its people associating with a sect of Christianity. This inspired the idea to create a Museum of Theology which would focus on the education of the different religious belief systems, with the intention of providing an objective environment for understanding - not religion conversion. The design was based on the principles of: Inform, Immerse, Inspire.
While most museums find the focus to be the exhibits themselves, a Museum of Theology presents thought provoking ideas, many of which the visitors are highly unfamiliar with. It is through this understanding that the Museum’s pinnacle feature is its garden; the garden facilitates reflection and allows for the visitors to take a step back, away from the exhibits of information they have received, and think about what it truly means to them.
