Lucas Poisson's profile

FROM THE CONCEPTION THE INCREASE

These two large format books intend to recreate the concept of wormholes in printed matter. Wormholes are thought to be shortcuts in time and space and could appear into space. Hence the editorial form is made of one unique sheet of paper (or cloth) that represents continuity of time. From one unique movement the reader passes from the first page of the book, the cover, to the last page: a mirror surface, reflecting an image of himself just a few seconds ago. As the reader unfolds the book, the book's size increases and so does time. The reader then meets the poems backwards and has to go back in time to start from the beginning. "From the conception the increase", is a Maori aboriginal original tale collected by Jerome Rothenberg in the book "Technicians of the sacred". It's purpose is to give an idea of chronological construction and a cosmic reference linking to the editorial object. Each four parts of the poem are numbered from one to four, using holes that puncture time as in wormholes it is thought that there are some anomalies.
