Geometric Installations (Geodesic Dome)
Client:            Malya Aditi High School, Bangalore

Brief:              Create Installations to be placed in different parts of the school using geometrical shapes (we focused on
geodesic domes that are made up of triangles)

Description:  We chose to work with Buckminster Fuller’s theory of a geodesic dome as it has a high load bearing strength.
Irrelevant of where the external force is, it gets distributed among the members so that each member the same
amount of load. For this project  we made 3 installations:

20ft. Dome (Interactive Class Room)
We had a very different take on the concept of a classroom. We believe that learning happens outside & not just from books. This open classroom does exactly that. Imagine a biology lecture in nature itself. or a physics lecture on a manufacturing floor.

Bamboo Dome (Garden Space)
Natural materials for a natural space. The goal was to give time a form. Vines were planted in and around the structure and students can see the progress in growth as every year passes by.

3ft. Dome (Interactive Dome)
The aim here was to make a structure who’s use is defined by the user and is placed in a common space. it could be used as a show piece, a seat, a pedistal...
