I was told that I was the first woman to make the cover of Millikin Quarterly. Here's a very posed picture during my Presidency at Kiwanis' Collegiate Club: Circle K International. This club recognized me in the Society of Distinguished Collegians for my dedication to scholarship, leadership & service to humanity.
Maintained my membership in Alpha Lambda Delta ~ National Honors Society ~ my entire college career. Made every Dean's List and graduated Magna cum Laude.
As a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar, I was awarded a $25,000 scholarship from the Rotary Foundation to represent the State of Illinois in Spain during the 1995-1996 school year. The first month was spent studying Spanish with other Rotary Scholars at the International House of Madrid. The school year was spent at the University of Murcia. This was a life-changing experience that has forever shaped my education and personal appreciation for culture, service and relationships.
I was elected Delegate to represent our University & Club at the District, National, and International Conventions for CKI. This experience took me to Phoenix, St. Louis, and several colleges throughout Illinois. Lasting friendships, memorable keynotes, practical workshops, and a lifetime commitment to Service Above Self.
Presidential Academic Award signed my President George Bush!
My amazing family who has always been there to support, encourage & inspire me! Thank you!!
