In approaching this logo, we wanted to focus on simplicity and easy utilization in various mediums. The choice to use simple, visually appealing colors and themes was to supplement the clients "Why" statement and the main motivation for their business. The paw is a simple way to get at the main focus of the animal hospital...the pets!
The kerning of the lettering was an important aspect in the overall look of the logo in that it has breathability and alignment. We worked to ensure that the paw and the writing had similar lines and felt like they worked on their own as well as together.
Pictured above are the front and back of the business card. A little pixelation occurred on the back of the card, but when printed the lines smooth out really well. Maintaining the theme of simplicity was important here because of the potential for overfilling the small space of the card. We work with the client to ensure that the most important information was included on the card.
We chose to place the entirety of the business name on the card for visual and informative purposes. In grouping the QR code, paw, and website on the back, we felt that there was enough simplicity in the paw shape that having a bit of overlap would not only add some color, but feel a little more comfortable and less spacey.
On the advertisement, the paw prints were hand placed in order to create some movement and direction for the audience. The information is minimal on the ad and includes some elements of variety while still maintaining repititon and proper spacing between font sizes and sections. We also felt it was important to have the paw logo continue to have a strong presence in the ads and the rest of the corporate identity.
It was important to project a social media image that was focused on the animals while still maintaining simplicity. The logo provides a connection between the company and the various other materials put out, while still maintaining a simple look. The picture we chose showcases the product of the services--happy, healthy pets!
