Mapa de Vigan
Casa Florendo Museum gave me a task to create a “not totally” accurate map of an old Vigan. Vigan is a city located in Ilocos Sur in the Philippines. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, one of the few Hispanic towns left whose structures have remained intact. Tourists flock to Vigan to for its cobblestone street, awesome architecture and really good food.
Here’s a look at the project, a wee bit of the process and some photos I took during the visit there.

I started of with studying the reference images given by the client and some google ones. From there I made some preliminary sketches, I drew a bunch before we arriving to one we can detail and ink.
Here comes the fun part, inking. I used a 003 felt tip pen, since I was using an A3 paper and I needed something pretty fine for those tiny details.
