Cultural Preservation was the main objective of this project. The works are presented in the form of publications, posters and found physical objects that are representative of this festival. Through an extensive research on Hungry Ghost Festival, there are few aspects of the festival which were not covered, such as gods, deities and other sensitive topics. One of the existing problems that was discovered during the research stage was the decline of younger generations' involvement.  Hence this project undertook the task of educating resolving this issue.

In Chinese culture, Ghost festival falls on the 7th Lunar Month in the lunar calendar. The festival is observed throughout the entire month. During this period, many Chinese worship their ancestors and make offerings to wandering souls that roam the earth. It is believed that the gates of Hell are open on this month and hungry ghosts are released from the netherworld to wander on earth among humans and look for food. This publication serves as a guide to the taboos and beliefs that govern the 7th Lunar Month. As the title of this guide suggests, better to believe than to be disrespectful.
