US AGAINST THE WORLD
This ten-part original documentary series followed a predominantly black high school basketball team in rural Kentucky striving to succeed amidst racism. I was deeply involved in all aspects of development and production and wore many hats beyond the Associate Executive Producer title, including story producing, directing key scenes and even editing on top of being the direct point of contact with the sponsor. The series, which NPRcalled it a “phenomenal, powerful series”, earned a Sports Emmy nomination and the Cynopsis TV award. A second season has been filmed and is currently being edited.
