Using street photography and gravures, as well as scientific elements and vintage illustrations from encyclopedias, I came up with a series of collages.

A ruler of seashells and dusty roads
a dusty moth reaching for a street light
a beautiful youngster, beneath concrete shadows
a sensual acrobat, lingering over the rooftops
a mistress gazing upon the fragmented urban landscape
a titan, his wax wings ever fragile, even in this modern era
the head of Olympus once, now chained by wires and antennas
a visionary, lucid cranium, bound on a sky monolith.

Cast of characters: NeptuneApolloHermes, Venus, AthenaIcarus, ZeusThemistocles
Mixing and matching myth and urbanity, the collages reflect sinister times albeit with a glimpse of hope.
Some pics:
In vain I had at heart to find
The center and the end of space.
Beneath some burning, unknown gaze
I feel my very wings unpinned

And, burned because I beauty loved,
I shall not know the highest bliss,
And give my name to the abyss
Which waits to claim me as its own.
