User-interface goodness!
I was hired as a graphic designer for Interzone Games based in Perth and got to work with an extremely talented bunch of people on Interzone Futebol, a massively multiplayer online football game. Interzone Futebol is now known and actively being marketed as Online Soccer Champions after having had financial difficulties and moved operations elsewhere. I worked mainly on the user-interface, working with game designers, programmers and art directors to produce artwork from concept, mocks of behaviours and oversee final game assets and their implementation.

Other perks also included (but not limited to) remotely managing and communicating with artists from our overseas studio in China in the production of icons and art assets for the UI, lots of fruitful discussions on various game design topics, great team bonding experiences, experience with SCRUM and agile methodologies, meeting lots of people and working on side projects and participating in local and global gamejams which involved making small scale games in timeframes ranging from crazy 48hrs to week long creative goodness.

Multiple quick draft concepts for each screen are made and proposed to the game design and tech teams for approval.
Once all the functional aspects have been signed off on, styling was applied and art direction was approved.
