Approaching a new craft beer brand isn't easy. The industry is teeming with competition, and most are talking the same talk. It was important for us to establish a new kind of craft beer brand starting with the core. 

We found that the audience we wanted to attract had something in common. Although their lives may be ordinary, secretly they wanted to be seen has extraordinary. This trait lives inherently throughout Denver's people. The brand's driving passion aligned with this sentiment which is verbalized concisely in its purpose: Crafting adventurous sips spiked with rebellion.
The brand's passionate purpose clearly set the focus for the brand name. We found our inspiration in the heart of Denver's beginnings. 1858 was the year Denver, Colorado was founded, and since that time the city has been a beacon for those with an adventurous, rebellious spirit. Therefore, every Denveran is a son of 1858 (ladies, too.)
