At first, I was going to make a simple drawing in illustrator on a desert landscape around dusk. But then I started to play around with some stuff at night and I decided that it really looked a lot better, and was more pleasing to the eye. I really never considered a nighttime piece until I got onto illustrator.
I ended up with a bear in the moonlight, with some green clouds in the background in order to portray the normal environment that one would see a bear in. For instance, when you think about where you would find a bear you would think about a forest with a lot of trees and green. Since it would just distract one from looking at the piece I only added green and decided to leave trees out of the picture. Overall, for this being the first project that I have done since last fall I think that it is a great building block.
