Love It or Lose It - "Rural Runoff".

A strange and bizarre animation series developed by Fotomedia on behalf of the Ballina Shire Council. We were approached to create a stupid, ridiculous animation series highly inappropriate for a government funded project. It needed to be something that would offend, frustrate and cause a stir in the local communities... and then take the videos and show them in cinemas before big budget movies. No seriously, that's what they wanted.

...and that's exactly what we did. lol.

In this second episode of three, we take a peaceful trip down the Richmond river, from Kyogle all the way down to the mouth at Ballina. This romantic journey is populated by farting cows, hyperactive construction workers, eroding river banks, a peeing yowie, possessed foriegn trees, a hippie with an overflowing septic tank, sick turtles, dying fish and a dead cow carcass that is unfortunately traveling down the river at the same speed as the camera... but don't worry! It erodes halfway through the video thanks to some harmful inorganic pesticide!

It's not until the population realises that swimming in sewerage, dead animal carcasses and literal poision isn't all that it's cracked up to be, and with a few considerations in place, everyone can once again enjoy the beauties the Richmond river.
