"AUF KOHLE GEBOREN"
A series about one of the last two active german hard cole mines in my hometown Ibbenbüren that was shut down at the end of 2018.
In 2016 I had the chance to get a look behind the industry that influenced a huge part of west Germany for over 200 years. I wanted to focus on the people working there and tried to capture the emotions and express what this job means to them, so it won't be forgotten.
