Visuals for Invectivity // Technical University Dresden
In early 2018 I have been invited to participate in a tender to create posters and flyers by the research project "Invectivity". The Collaborative Research Centre “Invectivity. Constellations and dynamics of disparagement” brings together the perspectives of various academic disciplines to investigate invectives and their manifestation.
The briefing was to follow corporate design guidelines of the Technical University Dresden, and to maintain the initial colour scheme, the recognition of the series of the events of the project, as well as to signify separate events within the programme.
I have suggested using set of visuals that would resemble the swarms of quips. Invectives have vectors. As the form and function of invectives were not fixed in the research but appealed as the objects of the research, I referred to the forms of spontaneous organization of the elements existing in nature and visualized the variety of the swarms of quips. Each of those compositions is unique in its form but all of them are in line with the same visual style and graphic.
Result: 14 posters and 5 flyers for 17 events, print for T-shirts, banner.
