Janosik is a tangible proof of how you can get from a butcher to a cinema owner.
The rich history of the only cinema in Żywiec dates back to 1906, when Antoni Kasztelnik, a butcher, wished to realise his dream of owning a lights theatre.
The cinema features loud premieres, big films accompanied by live music, an interesting film club, classic titles, thematic reviews, and even a real Adrenalinium (a review of mountain films). Here the screenings take place in 2D and in 3D, yet still an analogue projector can be found rattling next to a digital one.
My task:
Create a modern website for a cinema with rich history.
While designing the interface and page layout, I was inspired by the mosaic in the cinema's lobby.
Colours and page layout inspiration ➝ mosaic in the cinema's lobby
Subsites and page elements ➝ clean, functional user interface
Colours and fonts ➝ main colours with crisp font pairing
