Show openers for i24News.
This series of openers was created as part of a re-branding package for i24News TV channel. I used a unified graphic template which I developed. The template features simple geometric shapes that correspond to main themes covered in the broadcasting of the channel such as politics, culture and technology, yet the shapes are abstract enough to allow for a vast range of interpretations. The openers are fast-paced, and depending on the style and content of the show, I gave each of them a different design approach - some use a lot of video footage, some are more ornamental, some purely abstract. With the footage-based openers, I put a maximum attention to the selection of video fragments, to create a perfect sequence that represents the content of the show with just the right amount of subtle controversy to spark the viewers attention.
