GOAL:
 
The Daily Gamecock is the student run newspaper at the University of South Carolina.  Their site, which ran on Joomla, was in need of a major update.  They wanted a clean looking site with high readability and features that included the following:

• Advertising (in-house or third-party system)

• Audio player (podcasts, etc.)
• Handle Interactive Graphics

• Event Calendar

• Email Newsletter (and newsletter sign-up)
• PDF of printed Edition
• Comments (and on what [articles,blogs,media,galleries])
• Support for third-party mobile systems (Genwi, iCampusTimes)
• Custom RSS feeds
• Email feedback forms
• External blog integration
• Topic pages (specific topics, Basketball, Football, Salary Guide)
• Open Graph integration
• Article Tools

Using our own, SNWorks developed, content management system (CMS) Gryphon, we were able to build out their website fairly quickly and in the time as outlined in pre-production estimates.  
DUTIES:

As a member of the SNWorks webteam, I was asked to carry out the front-end development of the site navigation:

• Drop down sub-level menu: design & interactivity
• Multimedia page: design & interactivity
