One of the more interesting pieces of functionality on a members home page was the spotlight feature. I came up with a concept for an algorithm that reviewed all the data in a persons gamerDNA against all the most recent and interesting content in the network and delivered it here - to this component. We also sold positions in this as advertisements but only delivered them to members who we could identify as "interested". This component had to allow for multiple content types, created a feeling that the content was "special" and fresh.
