LA ALAMEDA
INTERIOR DESIGN PROJECT - DESIGN GROUP LATINAMERICA
This project was carried out as a team work with Architect Sofía Pérez Cárdenas during our time working for Design Group Latinamerica.
It consists of the fitting out of an apartment in the city of Caracas, Venezuela, owned by a young couple of artists. This project was carried out jointly by the architect Israel Almarza and Design Group Latinamerica through the alliance system for associated architects, offered by the latter. The particularity of this project is that, under the criteria of simplicity and the predominance of white, it was forged as a base design that can be repeated with slight modifications for the client's two brothers, who are owners of apartments in the same building.
The design of the social area defined the style of the project to be developed. With a pre-existing glossy white Silestone floor, low saturation color tones with a high chiaroscuro contrast were chosen. The porcelain tiles that were added to complete the composition are a dark wall texture generated by the Mutina Toile tile, which faces an illustrated group of tiles called Ritmi, from the manufacturer Cotto D'Este.

Furniture from manufacturers such as I4 Mariani, Porro, Rimadesio, Mutina, Glas Italia and Flexform were chosen, which are characterized by their high-end finishes that give the final touch to a balanced composition.

Notable design features were applied in the master bedroom, where the Opus library by Rimadesio was used, made up of glass panels etched with acid and inserted in a niche, where the LED lines are located; and when they are turned on, they generate indirect light from a unexpected source. The corresponding selection of furniture and wall coverings pointed to a warmer style, responding to the chosen wood-effect porcelain floor.
Special attention was paid to the design of the terrace, with furniture by Paola Lenti, which imitates the vegetation of the ground and the mountainous landscape of the city of Caracas and becomes a planned and harmonious whole.
