Archifutures 5: Apocalypse
The ongoing Archifutures series is the print / digital publishing project accompanying and expanding upon the Future Architecture platform, a Europe-wide network created by the Museum of Architecture and Design in Ljubljana. This new field guide to the future of architecture is designed and edited by &beyond and published by dpr-barcelona.
With essays, interviews and projects by young practitioners and experts alike, the fifth volume – Apocalypse – deconstructs and remoulds the notion of “apocalypse”; to neutralise its drama and to reconsider what it means to live in an age of revelation. What are the futures that these young practitioners aim to reveal? What are the new prototypical mechanisms of resilience and survival under construction as we speak?
