EY Managing Partner RoadShow Presentation 2019
The Managing Partner Roadshow is a unique opportunity where the whole EY come together, across service lines, across levels and across regions – bringing together the business as a whole. The Managing Partner reflects on the past year achievements and the plan for the future.
A team of 3 were involved in the development of the concept - A graphic designer, motion graphic designer and me who is a document designer.
The theme of the project was 'different paths, shared journey' along with the three imperatives - Innovation, People & Purpose, and Brand. How do we take that concept of bringing the business together, showing how we connect, how we share experiences, how we weave together?
Weave means to interlace, to form or construct something, or to compose a connected whole. We've created a strong concept using weave as a metaphor for our different paths or experiences and showing how we thread, weave or combine together on our shared journey. To punctuate the theme, ‘different paths, shared journey’ we added individual threads being woven together to make shapes, expressive text and the EY logo. The different threads, each unique with their own characteristics combine together to create something greater than the sum of their parts and this idea underpins all the the graphics that we have put together.
The presentation starts with a video created by Aisling Sinclair, our motion graphics designer.
We wanted to give the presentation the feel of a winding narrative as opposed to a linear slide deck with isolated slides. The three woven lines we follow through the narrative represent EY’s journey. Three threads, to give a nod to the three imperatives.
In order to represent the journey, I used the threads across the slides moving in all different directions. This continued till the end of the presentation. Subtle but captivating animations gave the messages more focus while making the presentation more impactful.
