Hotel Streym Website 2013
For the new website for Hotel Streym I wanted to focus on showcasing the beauty of the Faroe Islands. After all, the breathtaking nature of these tiny islands in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, is what travellers are coming here for. So a full screen design seemed like the perfect fit, giving users a series of great photos from around the islands. This idea was taken further, by allowing the user to collapse the content, by clicking/tapping the green button, and enjoy the photography without the distraction of the text.
As a fun detail, the sites preload sequence uses geolocation to show the user where he/she is right now, and where he/she should be going, and of course, where he/she should stay. This is after all a hotel website :o)
