Photo Portfolio
Here is a handful of some of my favorite photos I've taken over the past few years, presented in no particular order.  I love taking nature photos, still life, landscapes, and macros (although macros are tough without a macro lens!).  Some are more surreal or impressionistic, of course, but I have not done much digital post work -- all of these photos incorporate only minor color correction and cropping and a few include multiple exposures.  This is by no means a showcase of my digital photo manipulation skills; rather, it is meant to be more representative of my artistic vision for what comes (mostly) straight out of my camera.

I've included captions with each photo, but this site apparently only allows for a few to be displayed.  Sorry folks, I guess my photos will just stand as artwork unto themselves with little further explanation.  However, do feel free to ask questions.
Spillway on Lake Catoma, Christmas Eve 2008.
Garden spider in a patch of irises.
Portrait of a portrait; using modeling lights only.
Moonlight.  This is actually shot in broad daylight, the slight motion blur is due to moving at 60mph.
Foggy evening.  This composites several exposures to capture HPS and incandescent lighting on a fog bank as an pinkish-orange hue in the background.
Portrait of Carissa, color, using strobes and basic triangular lighting.
At the falls.
Natural beauties.  This is a close-up of an eye-catching fungus I spotted during a walk in the woods.
