Mount Hagen Rebrand
Mount Hagen, established in 1986, is a well know instant coffee brand focused exclusively on organic & fair trade coffees. Although the company is widely known, the bulk of their business comes from the campers, backpackers and travelers. After nearly 34 years in business, the company had outgrown its original branding. Their coffee brand was inconsistent and their website is difficult to navigate, with irrelevant information.
The new packaging pairs a a refined word mark, resembling the old branding along with a colorful illustrated secondary logo that is an update of their bird symbol. The new direction targets the group that generates the most business for them, travelers and backpackers, with the loose organic pattern that radiates adventure, nature and vibrance without being to literal.
