Waiting For Justice
Short Non-fiction

This documentary tells the story of the struggles for justice of three women, Moina, Nasima and Ayesha, in the Family Courts of Faridpur, Bangladesh. Their stories and the comments of their lawyers, illustrate the challenges many women still face when claiming their legal rights after separation or divorce. The film explores the strength, commitment and support required to overcome these obstacles, especially in a society where poverty and inequalities of gender, religion and disabilities are entrenched, and how legal aid can make the difference between survival and destitution, safety and security and continuing risk.
