Eye of Ymir Pitch Bible

A young viking girl in possession of powerful magical amulet embarks of a quest over dangerous and mysterious Midgard to save her brother and village from the clutches of an evil witch, with the help from a very timid troll.

Welcome to my pitch bible for the feature film Eye of Ymir, targeted at a teen audience of 13-18 yrs and opportunity to reach older audiences of 20+.

In the realm of Midgard where humans live in the shadow of what ever monsters or spirits rests a sleepy village, surrounded by a great and mysterious wood on all sides except one where a mountain sits. We join a teenage viking called Liv as she is given a powerful magical amulet by her mother before she passed away. The amulet, imbued with a powerful rune, gives the user control over all living things in Midgard at the cost of taking away the users life each time it is used, making it a double edge sword. A year passes and Liv is now under the protection of her brother Bo since they're mother died the year earlier, and they're father having mysteriously disappeared before that. Liv is a trouble maker within the village so Bo does everything within his power to keep her out of trouble and in check, making they're relationship a difficult one as Liv feels she is being caged by her brother.
However, Bo must now put his faith into Liv as Skogul, an evil witch with a war band of undead and raiders has come to the village in search of the amulet so that she may bend all to her rule. Liv manages to escape with the amulet, with help from a mysterious and cowardly troll called Arlan who claims to be a old friend of her mother and father. Some hours pass and she returns to the village to find it in ruin with Bo and the rest of the villagers gone. Now she must set out with her overly cautious friend to save her brother and village from the claws of Skogul, by any means.

Liv is a 14 yr old viking who loves to get create a bit of mischief in the village and bunk off what ever chore she should be doing, making her the village menace. Though many see her as a menace and a stain on her brothers reputation in the village, all Liv wants is to be understood, however her stubbornness and the power she carries makes it difficult to tell people how she feels after the death of her mother.
Liv has a very gun-ho attitude when entering new situations, following the mantra of doing before thinking, which can get her into all sorts of trouble but can also work in her favour.
Bo is 17 yrs old and the complete opposite to Liv, he aims to honor his parents by becoming a well respected member of the community. He helps out where ever he can from farming to hunting and he has a talent for fighting, making him respected among the men, and loved among the women. Juggling looking after Liv and keeping his reputation in the village has caused Bo to mature faster and be a lot stricter with how he handles Liv and her antics. Sometimes he pushes too far and regrets the things he says to her, but knows its all because he loves her, after all she is the only family hes got.
No-one knows where she came from, only that she commands an army of undead creatures and joined forces with a group of raiders to find the "Eye of Ymir". Skogul has a burning hatred for the humans of Midgard and plans to have them, along with every other living being enslaved with the power of the eye. Nothing much is to be said of Skogul other than she is cold, ruthless, a master manipulator and will stop at nothing to get what she wants, putting Bo and the rest of the captured villagers in terrible danger.
