For Art's Sake: Shaken & Stirred

I worked on these pieces for GOFY's For Art’s Sake: Shaken & Stirred exhibition. 50 artists (including myself) from the Southeast Asian region created 62 artworks based on famous and iconic Western art, with a Southeast Asian twist. These pieces were exhibited across 13 different venues all across Singapore.
Playground 2020
This pop art piece features the iconic Toa Payoh Dragon Playground front and centre. Beloved and celebrated by the media, the playground has become a celebrity in its own right. The piece also aims to show how we as a society have evolved alongside technology and how social media has become an important part of life.

Sock, Kopi, and Brewing Pot
This cubist art piece celebrates locally brewed coffee, or kopi as it is known colloquially in Singapore. Inspired by Picasso’s Jug, Candle, and Enamel Pan, the artwork features a kopi sock, a cup of kopi, and a brewing pot full of freshly-made kopi being prepared as the morning sun fills the sky.
