Black Girl Gamers x Superunion

In this brief, I wanted to incorporate a color scheme and font style that emulate carefree fun and innocent enjoyment, which was a critical part of the Black Girl Gamers x Superunion Brief; they don't take themselves too seriously, and they want that aspect of their presence to be be known. When creating the BGG logo, I opted for a character that both embraces the target demographic and features stylistic similarities to other fun and charming video game characters like Nintendo's Toad. Despite the carefree atmosphere of the brand, I incorporated the key values of BGG by integrating statements like, "Reclaim your place in the cyber space", which is a call to action for all black womxn across the world to rise up and dare to be present in the white, male-dominated gaming world. Furthermore, the brand challenges anyone that questions the movement; "Warning: Black girls are changing the game." The current gaming world is in the prequel to a complete recreation of how we see it now; black womxn are on the frontlines to make themselves an immovable force inside it. Just beneath the surface of the fun, carefree BGG exterior is a cyber revolution waiting to happen.
