Silly Coo Crafts: Branding & Packaging

Challenge

The client is a local craft business expanding into more expensive goods and candle ware and wants a Highland Cow embodied in her brand to reflect the humble origins of their business. How may I appeal to both previous customers and potential future buyers in a varying demographic?

Solution

The design utilizes a looser illustration of a Highland Cow that relates to the type and offers the viewer a sense of breathing room while retaining the handmade qualities of the products while appealing to both of the client’s demographics in both an entertaining and humorous way.
Classy Tails: Logo Design & Flyer

Challenge

The client wanted a logo design and promotional flyer to contrast their local setting to stand out from competitors and live up to her brand’s name. How may I establish the luxurious aspects of the business while still keeping it playful and approachable to potential customers?

Solution

The logo itself depicts a silhouette of the owner’s dog accompanying the name with a pair of scissors embedded within the type. The flyer consists of paw prints to balance the messier aspects of the business and ensure high-quality grooming sessions for each customer.
Fiona Saxton Photography: Logo Design

Challenge

The client requested a bold yet elegant Boho logo to reflect her thriving photography practice with weddings, families, and celebratory events. How could I best reflect her subject matter in a way that sheds light on public and private events?

Solution

A clean, minimalistic windowpane and type that highlights the photographer’s brand aims and the inviting presence and grains her selection of work captures. The complementary elements also allow for greater focus on her personal and professional portfolio of work.
APEAS: Corporate Logo Design

Challenge

The Stage 3 Architecture exam board required a new logo to be utilized on its website and printed collateral with indications of what the board represents and its location-based in Scotland. How many I portray the company without steering directly into Scottish conventions?

Solution

The proposed logo reflects the values of the company, with the ‘A’ elements referring to the foundations of buildings and the students’ future careers upon passing the exam, and the ‘E’ emphasizing the three stages of the examination, in which candidates’ work will be graded and determined.
