A video that captures the essence of Mazda's unique design philosophy, that was the request of our client, Mazda UAE. Being a somewhat comprehensive and nuanced topic, we wanted to make sure we presented it in a way that is interesting, engaging, and informative.
Animation Snippets:
Firstly, our copywriter, Shaza, and our art director, Nader, got together and discussed the different ways in which this video could be coordinated, designed, and executed. Then each one started brainstorming and working on the direction for copy and design.
As for copywriting, Shaza delved deep into the history behind Mazda's hundred-year-old design philosophy, what inspired and still inspires the ideas behind it, how it's reflected on car technology and features, and how it evolved along the years. Then she wrote the script in line with Mazda UAE's tone of voice, capturing all the ideas in a concise and engaging way
As for design, Nader worked his creative magic to experiment with several directions for the video frames until he decided on the most suitable one. He opted for a 3D-like design, incorporating elements from Japanese culture along with subtle references to the UAE. Then he completed designing all the video frames to complement and augment the script.
The next step was the animation. Our motion graphics artist, Khalid, brought the video to life with background music, animation, and basically tying the whole video together.
