I started working as a freelancer in 2011 with Familia Martínez Bujanda, it was my very first client. Through daily and direct collaboration with the marketing team, I am involved in every project related to creativity and design carried out by this winery group.

I started working as a freelancer in 2011 with Familia Martínez Bujanda, it was my very first client. Through daily and direct collaboration with the marketing team, I am involved in every creativity and design project started by this winery family. Throughout these years we have worked all kind of designs: labels, packaging, catalogs, brochures, press originals, posters, dossiers, tasting sheets, stands, banners for online campaigns…
Packaging
It’s known by all how important the first impression is, for a wine it happens in the packaging: the label design is critical but we must not forget the capsule and the bottle itself.
The label must convey the essence of the product, be memorable and draw the attention of a specific target. There is much that we must communicate in such a small space. And this is what makes label design so exciting.
Familia Martínez Bujanda owns five wineries which has allowed me to design hundreds of labels over the years. I’ve dressed wines from cheaper prices to premium, and for different countries around the world (Spain, China, USA, UK, Switzerland…).
Viña Bujanda
One of the projects that I love the most is Viña Bujanda, a D. O. Ca. Rioja winery. Being part of that project from the beginning allow me to work on their brand from scratch, creating the logo and all the accompanying graphics, and of course dressing the bottles. It was a very intense and enriching expirience.
In 2020 we launched the redesign of some of the labels for the national market, a job that began in 2019 and has been quite a challenge. As a result we have designed an elegant labels with spectacular finishes.
Finca Montepedroso
Finca Montepedroso is a winery in Rueda. In this case, as in Viña Bujanda, I was lucky enough to participate from the birth of the winery. Working on all the branding designs, from the winery identity to packaging and all the communication layouts.
Infinitus
Infinitus is a brand with a selection of varietal wines. The most interesting point in this assignment, apart from the creation of the image of the wine, was to find a way to differentiate the bottles of each varietal while maintaining a homogeneous image.
Promesa
Promesa is a family of Rioja wines whose design was made specifically for the UK market. These types of projects are more complicated because you need to understand a foreign context, with its characteristics and peculiarities.
Portfolios
A portfolio shows the products we offer, but it also conveys the spirit and values of the family. That is why it is so important to design it with strategy and care.
For Familia Martínez Bujanda we have designed several catalogs and all kind of brochures for its different wineries, seeking to convey in each of them the personality of their wineries and, at the same time the brand values.
